Some of Ryeowook's history
Kim Ryeo-wook (Hangul: 김려욱; Hanja: 金厲/厉旭) was born on 21 June 1987. He is a South Korean singer-songwriter, Radio DJ and occasional actor. Ryeowook is commonly known as a member of the K-pop boyband Super Junior and the subgroups, Super Junior-M and Super Junior-K.R.Y. and is also known to be one of the three main vocalists of Super Junior and is also known to be the eternal "maknae" of Super Junior. Along with four other Super Junior members, he is one of the first Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.
Ryeowook was discovered through the CMB Youth ChinChin Festival when he won in 2004. He quickly agreed to sign a contract with S.M. Entertainment after he impressed the competition judges and the entertainment company with his singing talent. Trained in areas of singing, dancing, and acting, Ryeowook placed particular efforts into his vocal training and music composition. He would play the piano as accompaniment for the members of Super Junior during their solo stages at Super Junior concerts.
Before Kyuhyun was added in 2006, Ryeowook was the last to join Super Junior which was several of weeks before their official debut in 2005. Having undergone only two months of training, Ryeowook's late addition was rumored to be a replacement of a previous SM trainee that was supposed to debut as a member of Super Junior 05, the first generation of Super Junior.
